New times with the new stall ...                                                  ... February 24, 2007

The weather wasn't quite like I had hoped it would be today, it was a little warm and humid. Went to the track anyway with the new stall and drag radials. The car is very consistent to launch now, and basically ran within a .13 range all day (10 passes or so). The best way for me to launch it is to do a short burnout, stall very lightly, and then floor it when the lights fall. It hooks and goes. I have my drag radials at around 20psi and it seems to work well for my application. I really enjoy the new stall, it feels great on the street and at the track. At the track especially, it 60's a lot harder now. I think if it were cooler my times could have been a little better, but there is always next week!

Current modifications 1/20/07: lid, LS6 intake, tune, muffler, 3600 vigilante, MT E/T drag radials, and free mods.

A new best again, 7.97 @ 85.7 mph. Up .26 tenths from last week, and lost 1.8 mph with new stall (expected).

For my next modifications, I want to work on the exhaust. At this point I'm not sure I will gain a lot of e/t with full exhaust, but the main reason I want to do this is because what's currently on there looks like crap. Some moron did a horrible job installing the muffler, actually using JB weld. Furthermore, one of the cats is aftermarket, and there are exhaust leaks everywhere. It also rubs under the floor above the axle and drives me nuts. I plan to go with coated Pacesetter headers, a TSP catted Y pipe, and a magnaflow catback. I am choosing to stay with cats because even with a good tune, there is still a little bit of hydrocarbon smell without them, and I really don't like that.
