Updated times with cam and headers... ...April 5, 2007
Tonight I headed over to Mooresville Dragway to try out the new modifications. I wanted to get in some test and tune before driving all the way to Rockingham, just in case anything went a wry. Although there were a lot of cars there, I managed to get in about seven or so passes. I totally loved the new cam/headers at the track. It left a lot harder and it really woke up going down the track. I think it surprised a lot of people, since the car is so stock looking. A few asked me if I was running nitrous (no!).
I ended up running in the 7.60's all night, except for a couple 7.70 passes when I couldn't hook up on the launch. I was leaving at idle, which the car seems to like best. I also got a new best 60' of 1.59. My best pass was a 7.61 @ 89.2mph. They ended up screwing up the time slip on that run, however. If you look at the slip, they added a second to my reaction time instead of my 60' mark. If you put the '1' where it is supposed to be, it makes the r/t .213 (zzzzz) 60' 1.599, the 330' 4.870, and the 1/8th mile 7.614.
Here's a pic of a few of the timeslips, I promise I'm not bs'ing about the 7.61/6.61 pass.
